Morgan’s Action-Broadway was a multiple stakes winner in 2010 and Hawk’s Cry Electra won the Ohio Sire Stakes championship for 3-year-old filly pacers…Enjoyed his greatest success with two-time Dan Patch Award winner Mister Big, who in 2009 saw his career come to a close with $4 million in lifetime earnings…Mister Big ranks second to only Gallo Blue Chip for most money won among all pacers in history…Has won the Scioto Downs training title for 16 consecutive years…Morgan learned to love the business through his uncle, Emory Lewis, and his father, Virgil Sr… At age 17, he bought his first horse, trained and raced it, then resold it for a profit…After high school, he worked for Scioto-based Randy Owens for a couple of years, and took some horses on the road for him…Has ranked among the top 15 trainers in North America in wins for 14 of the last 15 seasons…Topped that elite list twice in his career, in 2000 and 2002…Has also been the national runner-up four times, finishing in that position in 1998, 1999, 2001, and 2005…Is a six-time winner of the Jerry Kaltenbach Award as the top trainer on the Ohio Sire Stakes circuit, taking honors in 1999, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006…His seasonal earnings of $416,000 in 2005 was an OSS record

Favorite food is fish…first car was a 1980 turbo Trans Am…favorite reading material is Hoof Beats…favorite TV shows are “Seinfeld” and “The Office”....his Doberman, Duke, weighs a whopping 116 pounds…spends his time off the track with kids Tre, 12, and Kiara, 10…runs between 30 and 40 miles each week...favorite movie is “The Godfather.”
