Career
The Teague Stable -- George Jr. and his sister Brenda -- surpassed $4 million for the fifth consecutive season in 2010, with $5.24 million…The stable sent out a slew of stakes winners, including Adios champ Delmarvalous, Fancy Filly, Feel Like A Fool, Dr Dreamy, Wink N Atcha, and I’m Gorgeous…In 2009, the stable set a career high at $5.71 million…The stable won the Breeders Crown and Three Diamonds with Fancy Filly, who went on to capture divisional honors, the Hoosier Cup with Mr Wiggles and the Woodrow Wilson with Windfall Blue Chip…Teague followed in the footsteps of his late father, George Teague, Sr…As a teen, George's first job in the sport came working for well-known trainer Jim Case…His first noteworthy horses included a standout pacing mare, Another Fishy, who during the 1990s held the track record for female pacers at Dover Downs…Gained the national spotlight in 2004 with Rainbow Blue, who earned Horse of the Year honors after winning 20 races in 21 starts and banking $1.19 million, the most ever earned in a single season by a female pacer…Total Truth was another standout over the past few seasons and was the 2006 Pacer of the Year…Other top horses include Isabella Blue Chip, Southwind Lynx, Danae, Badlands Nitro and Kadealia…Teague received the William R. Haughton “Good Guy” Award from the U.S. Harness Writers’ Association in 2004 and his Teague Inc. received Owner of the Year in 2007…Also, the Teagues were named 2006 Owners of the Year by the Grand Circuit and George was named Grand Circuit Trainer of the Year in 2009…Teague’s son, Montrell, is an up-and-coming driver.
