Career
Grew up near Western Fair Raceway in London, Ontario and he began his driving career at that track…Later moved on to Flamboro and Windsor, and did well over those ovals too, especially at Windsor, where he won three dash titles and two UDR crowns…In April of 1982, decided to try his hand on the Toronto circuit, and his purse earnings reflect the success he has enjoyed at Greenwood, Mohawk, and Woodbine…2000 season was one of his best ever as his overall bankroll of $4,909,692 was a career best and put him in 18th place among all drivers in North America…Won the O’Brien Award that season as Canada’s Driver of the Year…In 2010 Ritchie was the regular driver for Blue Porsche, an O’Brien Award winner as the top freshman trotting colt in Canada..They combined to win the Valley Victory final, as well as divisions of the Bluegrass and Champlain.
Personal
Trevor’s greatest racing experience was winning the Hambletonian…favorite food is steak…first car was a blue Buick…first job was making ice cream cones…has two cats at home…enjoys working around the house, seeing a movie with his wife and golfing…enjoys watching CNBC.
