The 2010 campaign was a good one for Goodell, as he finished up the year with $4 million in earnings; upping his lifetime tally to nearly $35 million...Goodell finished among the driving leaders at Harrah’s Chester and Dover Downs in 2010…Before making a name for himself on the East Coast, Goodell was an accomplished driver on the Michigan circuit..His desire to make more money at the northeast tracks lured him away from all the tracks where he’d previously won driving titles - Northville Downs, Saginaw, Hazel Park and Sports Creek.

Goodell grew up in Michigan and decided that he’d rather buy a horse than go to college..Followed his dad (Robert) into the sport.
